2004 Trío - Vinho de la Tierra Castilla - Bodegas Arúspide

70% Tempranillo, 15% Syrah & 15% Cabernet Sauvignon

Produced from the hand harvested selection of the best fruit from 60 to 70 year old vines; this 70% Tempanillo, 15% Syrah  and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, each from its own single vineyard estate delivers amazing flavours, aromas, structure, quality and value.

Maceration took place over ten days on the skins prior to vinification in stainless steel vats.  The wine was aged 12 to 18 months in new Radoux and Demptos French oak barriques prior to an additional 18 to 24 months in the bottle prior to release. Deep garnet red in colour with hints of violet.  Aromas of red fruits, primarily strawberry, waft over a liquorice backbone. Structured in the mouth with well-balanced acidity.  It is suggested it be served at 16-18 degrees Celsius.

Everything about this red wine is "green": natural cork, recyclable bottle, labels from recycled paper and water-based inks.

It is a red wine made with organic 100% Tempranillo grapes from 27 year old vines in the Tierra de Castilla region, about 200km south of Madrid.

Garnet colour with violet glints. Aromas of ripe red fruits (mulberry and cherry) and very elegant oaky notes thanks to the four moths of aging in French oak barrels.  Unctuous in the mouth with quality soft tannins and a long lasting finish.

“Normally I wouldn’t be that interested in a blend of chardonnay and sauvignon blanc add to that an Old World site and it would be almost unthinkable, yet in the case of Alaris made by Bodegas Arúspide in Valdepeñas, some 190 kilometres south of Madrid in Castilla La Mancha, it all works. Juicy light and bright with a floral undercurrent.”

Produced from 100% Airén grapes (the most planted white wine grape in the world) from 40 year old vines organically grown (EcoCert). Classified as Vino de la Tierra de Castilla.

A white wine that is clean and bright pale yellow colour with green glints. In the mouth, it is lively and fruity with fresh aromas of citrus and tropical fruits that are also apparent in the nose.

2009 Trio Blanco - Vinho de la Tierra Castilla - Bodegas Arúspide

The Trio Blanco is made from the best combination of three grape varieties: the Chardonnay grapes which give aromas of tropical fruits, the Verdejo grapes for the aromas of citrus fruits and the Airén grapes for the freshness.

NV Lando Airen

Produced from 100% Airén grapes the nust is only partially fermented (6% alcohol). Pale yellow colour with green glints; with notes of zest of citrus fruits, white fruits and aromatic herbs, and a very well integrated acidity-sweetness balance.

Young, refreshing, sweet, fruity and low in alcohol (6%).
