Glimmer of Hope overdelivers with ripe fruit aromas and richly layered flavours of ripe cherries, red berries and plums with a hint of spice on the long and lingering finish.
The Shiraz contributes to the colour and signature blackberry and spice, while the Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards provide the depth and texture to the wine. The Zinfandel adds ripe fruit flavours. Fermentation is in submerged cap and static open fermenters. The wine is aged in French and American oak for 12 months. A deep plum to cherry red, this wine has intense youthful and fresh ripe berry fruit flavours with notes of spice. On the palate, it is dense, ripe with round plum, cherry and blackberry flavours balanced with spicy oak and ripe succulent tannins.
The grapes were picked between 13.5 to 14.0 Baume to produce the fruit flavours that are required to make this a great wine. The grapes were fermented to produce as much colour and flavour as possible. A portion of this wine was barrel fermented and blended with the remaining wine to produce the right balance and structure.
This wine is an intense red with purple hues. The bouquet is youthful ripe berry flavours with well integrated vanilla oak. On the palate, full bodied dense ripe berry fruit flavours with vanillian oak finish long and smooth.
