The Malbec is harvested from 15 year old vines on low vertical trellises. The result is a flavoursome wine with intense colour, and a vibrant nose showing leather, earth and red fruit aromas. The palate is soft and lush with earthy undertones and flavours of bright ripe berries and plums.
This wine is aged for ten months in 70% new and 30% old French oak barrels. It is a brilliant red in colour. Concentrated and expressive aromas and flavours of leather, cigar box, and brooding dark fruit, followed by soft tannins on the finish.
Notes of dark fruits such as blueberries and blackberries are well integrated with the soft pepper and vanilla of French oak ageing. On the palate it is fruity and soft with velvety tannins.
Soft violet and red berry on the nose, while bright cherry and dark raspberry intensify with every sip. With fully resolved tannins and notes of white pepper, this wine is a perfect balance between the vivid fruit, spice and structure that comes from 100% barrel aging for 18 months in French and American Oak.
