“The long relatively cool growing season that was 2005 in Napa produced wines lower in alcohol and higher in acidity, in short more elegant, more interesting and capable of holding your attention for an entire bottle. Add that to the winemaking philosophy at Signorello and you have a fabulous cabernet. From the moment you smell the bouquet you are drawn to this very special bottle. The wineriy’s 18 years old vines have clicked into overdrive and the wine shows it. Polished black fruit with specks of vanilla and spice captivate the nose and palate along with a vibrancy and tension that is rare in Napa. Love the finesse here, the tannin management, the fruit and the acidity. One beautiful bottle for the price and this will only improve over the next decade.”

This Napa Valley cabernet and syrah blend fuses the rich, dense and velvety cabernet with the rustic, masculine and elegant syrah creating a wine with a soft, round and exotic finish. FUSE is a new world twist on an old word cabernet blending tradition with a distinct flavor profile. This fusion of flavors produces a wine more approachable at a younger age with an elegant round mouthfeel that will develop complexity as it matures.
The nose combines the sweetness of raspberry and violet with the spiciness of pepper, clove and tobacco, while in the palate the lush currant and plum fruit flavors balance with vanilla, cedar and nutmeg that integrates oak and tannin.
“An exotic Cabernet at a great price. Shows classically ripe Napa fruit and tannins, a big, full-bodied and dramatic wine with blackberry and black currant flavors.” - 91 Points - Wine Enthusiast
“Lots of voluptuous softness in the mouth, like velvet gliding over the palate. But you’ll also experience serious tannins that hit midway, creating a lockdown astringency. Evidence of ageability lies in the massive core of blackberries and cassis, as well as the overall balance and tang of acidity on the finish. This Cabernet Sauvignon-based Bordeaux blend should hit its stride after 2012 and continue for many years.”

The wine was fermented in traditional open fermenters with heading board systems and in static open fermenters using gentle cap management techniques. The pressed wine was aged in a combination of new French and American oak complemented with an even mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4 year old oak. The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from two vineyards in the McLaren Vale district.

Vintage Selection is elegant and complex on the nose. Ripe and fresh aromas of red and black fruit like raspberries, cassis and black cherries join together with subtle hints of oak, menthol and a slightly wet forest note.
